Thursday Class

November 28 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 7:00 pm on Thursday, repeating until 1 January, 2099

On Thursdays, we take a deeper dive into the art of historical European martial arts. These sessions are ideal for anyone—from beginners to experienced practitioners—who wants to refine their techniques and develop a stronger understanding of the historical sources.

Starting at 7:00 PM, our classes begin with a focused segment on advanced techniques, drills, and insights directly from historical treatises. In the second half, experience a more open practice format where you can put new skills into action, spar with peers, or delve into specific techniques that interest you. This combination of in-depth instruction and flexible practice creates a challenging and enriching experience for all skill levels.

What You’ll Learn:

Weapons Training: Covering swords, polearms, daggers, and hand-to-hand techniques. Authentic Techniques: Draw inspiration from masters like Johannes Liechtenauer and Joachim Meyer, with an emphasis on practical, historically grounded techniques. Welcoming Community: Enjoy a supportive, inclusive environment where everyone is encouraged to learn and grow.

Whether you’re striving to master complex techniques, enhance your skills, or engage with a dedicated martial arts community, our Thursday HEMA classes offer an immersive and rewarding experience.
